Aside from the content - which I find clarifying, applicable, thought provoking, and initiator of rabbit-hole spelunking - I think I have figured out why I also ENJOY these monthly sessions so much. We have all been lectured to - grad-school, conferences, con-ed, etc - a LOT. We are professional lecturees. I find theses PracticeUp modules (and all the other courses I have taken on MFP) to be more in the format of storytelling. More akin to being able to listen in on a conversation than being spoken to. Or more like a documentary that introduces the characters and stories behind the stories we think we know. This, I think, makes it feel more inclusive, which is likely why I find it far easier to remain engaged on a different level.
